Blueprint

Illustrator mock-up over rough draft:

After finishing the first version of the blueprint, I've added simple shape guides to aid with Maya modeling. Blue portions represent initial cube polygons, and pink areas represent cylinders. In this particular model, the cylinders will turn out to be negative space.

Below are Snips of the blueprint before export, including a view of the layer division.
