Sunglasses Render 1

I wanted to preview the render, so i added a plane in the background, a directional light, and a spotlight. I didn't spend too much time on lighting but it still turned out good enough. I decided to use the arnold renderer so I added an arnold coloring to the glasses, but it turned out more gray than I like. I'm not to bothered though, because I'm really trying to carve these into reality on a CNC mill.

Sunglasses Part 10

I applied the white material and duplicated it to get a good idea of what the glasses will look like. I also added a hole to the side pieces for a wire to run through.

Sunglasses Step 9

After all the reworking on the front of the frame, the side piece came together very quickly. The shape matches the blueprint, and while the smoothed version needs work I like shape.

Sunglasses Step 8

I again duplicated the half, and merged together the frame looks great! I added white blinn, and the product looks exactly how I want it.

Sunglasses Step 7

After some reorganization of edges the geometry became presentable, so I added some edge loops. The loops came on well and it looks pretty good smoothed.

Sunglasses Step 6

I deleted A TON of lines and tried to connect the inner circle to other points. I tried adding edge loops but they're running across weird places.

Sunglasses Step 5

I created a cylinder and used booleans-> difference to make the cut... after playing around with geometry and mesh-> cleanup I realize this is going to need reworking...

Sunglasses Step 4

I beveled the model and duplicated it and it looks pretty good smooth! But I forgot the holes for the lenses...

Duplicated and flipped (I scaled the duplicate by -1 on the Z axis):

Sunglasses Step 3

I tried to convert everything to quads as is, but I got a lot of weird shapes. I did TONS of reworking trying to fix the geometry but it's still weird.

Step 2 rework

I tried to simplify the smoothed model but it didn't turn out the way i wanted it too, so I saved it as an alternate and back tracked.

Sunglasses Step 2

I tried to Smooth the rounded part and got some weird shading.
I proceeded to reconstruct the messy parts.

After everything, I noticed the back had horrible geometry, so I deleted it to start from scratch.

Sunglasses Step 1

I started with the bulky, rounded shape.
I recreated the round shape to flatten it, than used the Booleans->Union tool to connect the hexagon.

After connecting the shapes, I worked on connecting the geometry.
